When is packet pick-up?
Packet pick-up will be available the morning of the race at Dodger Stadium. Pick-up will start at 7:30am.
Will my student get a medal if he/she does not complete the race?
As long as the student is registered, they will receive a medal for completing whatever portion of the race that they complete.
Is Transportation available to transport me to the race?
Limited buses are available for transportation, however buses will continuously shuttle from Union Station to Dodger Stadium throughout the race and festival activities starting at 7am. For the first group of schools that have 100 participants registered, a bus will be provided from/to your school location. You may partner with other nearby schools to reach 100 participants however there will only be one pickup and drop-off location. Please make contact with Irene Ybanez email@example.com if you plan on getting 100 participants.
What is the virtual race?
If you are unable to make it to Dodger Stadium and still want to participate in this inaugural race, you can! Sign up for the virtual race for only $20 and run or walk 3.1 miles anytime before November 24, 2014 and a race t-shirt and finisher's medal will be mailed to you. Email firstname.lastname@example.org upon completion of your run/walk and your t-shirt and medal will be mailed during the week of November 24, 2014. Please register at moveit.lausd.net using the category "Virtual Race".
I have a child who does not attend LAUSD that wants to participate in the 1k, is it $30 for my child to participate?
If your child is not a current or future LAUSD student, the price to participate in the 1k is $10. This will provide your child with a finisher's medal and a bib. Please register at moveit.lausd.net using the category "1k Children's Run - Non-LAUSD Student".
What does the route for the 5k look like?
The route will take you 3 times around Dodger Stadium. The route will be uploaded shortly.
When I signed up I selected a school, what was the purpose of doing that?
Selecting a school allows you to fundraise for a school using the Active.com fundraising pages and have all those monies go directly to the school that you have selected. Send friends and family to your fundraising page at http://www.active.com/donate/lausd5k
When I try to sign up my 7 year old daughter, the system won't let me, it says the child must be 13 and over, what should I do?
Parents/guardians must register students/children under 13 years of age using the parent's/guardian's birthdate.
